TOTAL ROBOSKULL Update

Hello Roboskullers!
We're currently recovering from a long weekend at Zolocon in Pennsylvania, and WOW- what a show! More on that to come, but first an update:
4" SKELETRON & 6" SKELETRON figures
With Chinese New Year now wrapping up, the status on these figures (both in tooling revision) remains unchanged over the last month. We remain aimed at a Q3 delivery and expect to have additional information for our next updates.
As previously communicated, publication of this book was pushed back so that we could add as much content as possible and include our last releases from the Kickstarter campaign. Originally planned at 96 pages, we expanded to 112 pages—and have now added even more pages! This will be the comprehensive and definitive Roboskull guide! We've been keeping the content under wraps, though as we've recently been asked to reveal some content, here's just a small taste of what you'll find inside:
This book will cover the inspirational history, the development of the Roboskull MKII, the Kickstarter launch, and the reception to the Roboskull MKII upon release. It's chock full of behind-the-scenes development, beautiful illustrations, and stunning photography. Our plan is to ship this book alongside our remaining Skeletron figures in Q3.

Factory Update

Hello Roboskullers,
We've been in communication with the factory over the last month, and they've shared some information that is of interest as we push for completion of our 4" & 6" Skeletron figures:
The factory will be relocating to a much larger facility in the Spring.
The factory has hired additional tooling expertise, and a very positive impact is already being experienced with tooling speed, quality, and overall success.
While a larger manufacturing facility will certainly be helpful to all the toymakers who share use of this factory, the tooling process itself has easily been the most significant and continuous bottleneck over the course of this project. Skeletron, as well as other toymakers using this factory, have experienced significant delivery delays due to tooling delays and rework, so this is particularly positive news.
6" Skeletron Factory Sample
Taking the upcoming Chinese New Year shutdown, the pending factory move, and the tooling improvements all under consideration, we've been provided a schedule that places fulfilment of both the 6" and 4" Skeletron figures into Q3 of this year. As you well know, providing accurate product delivery estimates has been the most difficult part of this campaign, and we will continue to be transparent with the information we are provided.

We're less than one month away from ZOLCOCON 2026, and we've got exciting Retro excitement in store! We'll be following that with our first ever appearance at TOYLANTA- we're so excited to finally get to this amazing show!

Happy New Year, Roboskullers!
We hope you had an wonderful Christmas! It's been so much fun to see everyone's reactions to our recent RED SHADOWS releases this holiday season and we are thrilled that so many have placed our 6" figures into their favorite figure lists for the year. Thank you for all the kind words, and hearing that these figures have been "more than worth the wait" is so appreciated.
As the year comes to a close, we thought it the perfect time to hear directly from Dave Proctor, who has been, and continues to be, absolutely crucial for all our product releases. For those of you who aren't familiar with Dave, he is a former Hasbro sculptor & sculpt manager (where he was lead sculptor for a favorite modern line- GI Joe Pursuit of Cobra), a co-founder of Boss Fight Studio, and currently the factory liaison and so much more for many independent toy companies, SKELETRON included:
A Message from Dave Proctor
It's been amazing working with the Skeletron team on this project. From my first talk with Ben about his dream of creating an All-New Roboskull, to the amazing Kickstarter response, and finally seeing through to production. What started as a single vision of the ultimate military sci-fi vehicle and love letter to Bob Brechin’s past creations, exploded and grew in scale to become arguably the most ambitious action figure Kickstarter to date.
This project has had everything collectors could ask for: Retro O-ring, Modern 4” Marauder, and Modern 6” figures, not to mention the remarkable ROBOSKULL MKII itself. From an engineering and development perspective, it’s really been four entire projects wrapped into one, which is why your patience and support have been so greatly appreciated. It’s been a long road for sure, but with the final two targets firmly in our crosshairs- 4” and 6” Skeletron, the end is in sight and the best is yet to come.
The Skeletron character in particular has been a personal passion of mine in this campaign, and it’s been a great privilege to be the primary designer, sculptor, and engineer of both his 4” and 6” figures. From the beginning, Ben and I were very keen to capture the same magic and inspiration invoked during my time working on POC era. It’s been a true labor of love, to look at this character through that creative filter and see what craziness resulted. Through this design process I found opportunity to incorporate several new engineering concepts that I had been working on previously, such as the unique method in which the butterfly joints interact with the torso chassis and shoulder blades. I really pushed this guy to the limit, and he might even be the single most complex figure that I have sculpted/engineered to date. I’ve seen some of the very positive reactions to prototypes that were shown during previous conventions and updates, and understand that everyone is beyond eager to get these guys in their hands as soon as possible. Please know that we are actively working diligently to carefully dial in the tooling on both 1:18 and 1:12 scale Skeletron figures, to make sure they are a worthy capstone to what I believe has been a truly legendary Kickstarter campaign.

As Dave guides factory completion of our Skeletron figures, we are also putting the finishing touches on the Total Roboskull Hardcover book. As you may recall, publication of the book was postponed so that we could include as much as possible of the ROBOSKULL MKII campaign. As products have continued to release, so has the size of the book—and the final page count will exceed expectations while delivering the quality you've come to expect from SKELETRON and the dynamic publishing duo of Brian Hickey & Paddy Lennon.
Looking both behind and ahead on this campaign, you'll see a timeline of releases below. For our All-In Backers who also added each BackerKit item, it's pretty wild that there have been a total of 8 packages delivered to your doorstep (containing 15 items), with still more on the way! We fully expect to close out this longstanding campaign in 2026, and we continue to field great questions about what is coming next, including the upcoming release of the very special Retro Yeti figure. We're very excited to drop new figures in the new year, so stay tuned for an announcement next month!
We will also be ramping up convention appearances, and the next stop is a return to ZOLOCON, followed by our first trip to TOYLANTA!

With deliveries happening now, the response has already been absolutely phenomenal. We are very proud of these stunning figures and it is so gratifying to hear your feedback on their premium look and feel. Thank you for making this possible!

It has unfortunately been some time since we received a notable update on the 4" Skeletron tooling revisions, and we'll continue to push towards a full conclusion!

Assembly Required was yet again a very special get together for us in Des Moines, Iowa. We were able to make a surprise Retro Yeti drop, a figure we created with a little help from our friends to honor the memory of our friend Aaron, who passed away earlier this year. The sale of this figure benefits Aaron's family, and though we quickly sold out, YETI will return! The rest of the Yeti production run is still at the factory, and once it is in our hands, we'll be sure to get it into yours!
