TAKING A STAND

Dearest Roboskullers,

Let's talk stands!  You might have noticed that figure stands are now included with both our 4" & 6" Marauder figures (as stated in our BackerKit), but we haven't revealed any details until now.

The action figure stand is an element of action figure display and collecting we are passionate about!   We want figure stands with great function and good looks, and we also love stands that don't detract or distract from the awesomeness of the figure itself.   After ongoing development, we're excited to show you our figure stand concept.

Here's how we've designed our all-new stands to achieve our action figure goals:

• FUNCTION -  We're utilizing a unique, triangular shape for our stands.  Why?  By using a triangle, you'll have additional options to create figure formations, and you'll be able to more tightly pack your figures while displayed, if desired.  Check it out:

• LOOKS GREAT WITH RED SHADOWS LOGO -  Our Red Shadows logo perfectly integrates into the triangular shape.  Nice!
• THE CHOICE IS CLEAR - We've been buying aftermarket clear stands for years to give our own figure displays a clean, consistent look.  SKELETRON figure stands will achieve this same great look in any environment, right out of the package!

We hope you love this concept as much as we do!   We're also extending a big THANK YOU to our good friend Paul at Raginspoon Toys for clear casting these prototype stands for us.  Paul, you're the best!

In other news, we continue to make progress on multiple fronts, and have just begun to submit some of our sculpts for final review and tooling.  We also continue to review and enhance sculps to ensure they result in the best figures and vehicle possible.  Check out this latest revision to the secondary backside of our 4" Marauder figure by Mark O'Byrne:

ROBOSKULL MKII Update with Retro Reveal!

Roboskullers!

It's starting to feel just a little like spring here in Minnesota, which is pretty great.  And 71% of you have completed your Roboskull MKII BackerKit surveys, which we think is pretty great, too.  Be sure to lock-in your survey by 4/30!

There is a lot happening here as we continue to complete and refine product sculpts.  We are making excellent progress on the Marauder 6" version of our Wolf Trooper- so stay tuned for that!

During the Kickstarter, you Roboskullers also unlocked the all-new, but yet still nostalgic, 3.75" O-ring Wolf Trooper figure.  We loved this figure so much, we couldn't help ourselves and continued to add gear and awesomeness to it-  A jet pack, a combat claw, an alternate SKELETRON head with laser sword!  Everything in this tasty retro figure design came straight from the crazy 80s brains at Grindstone Toys.  SKELETRON's Mark O'Byrne has been working day-and-night to perfectly capture their design in our figure sculpt.  So without further ado, here, for you, our beloved Kickstarter backer, is a FIRST LOOK viewing of our 3.75" Retro O-ring figure sculpt!

Lastly, we were saddened by the recent passing of the legendary Ian Kennedy.  We are so grateful that we had the opportunity to collaborate with Ian on this project, and thankful that his beautiful work will appear on our ROBOSKULL MKII packaging.  Ian's art spans generations, as he worked as a commercial artist for 73 years, leaving a legacy that will continue to inspire us all.  Our sincerest condolences to his family, friends, and colleagues.

BackerKit Surveys Sent! Cool New Roboskuller Stuff!

ROBOSKULLERS!   You should now be in receipt of your BackerKit survey email!  That email contains the subject line:

Response Needed — Get your reward for ROBOSKULL® MKII - Action Figure Vehicle

The body of that email contains a link to your survey-  that link is THE WAY to access your survey.   This email also states "Survey Deadline: 03/31/22".  Based on backer feedback, we've now changed the survey deadline to 04/30/22.  This April 30th date will be reflected if you receive reminder emails in the future.  Additionally, in an effort to best serve our backers, we have added the Paypal payment option.  Please note that if you choose to utilize Paypal, payment are processed immediately, instead of on the deadline date. 

OK, with all that out of the way, we are so, so excited for you to check out our NEW items in our BackerKit!

• Marauder JUNGLE WOLF TROOPER - This awesome new 4" figure was also just offered during the Marauder BackerKit, and it's now available to you!  And for the first time, the 6" version is being offered!  (You knew we'd do it!)

• Marauder GYRE WOLF - If you're following us on Facebook or Instagram, you saw this announcement yesterday.  We're overjoyed to be offering this figure to honor the memory of our friend, Gary "Goggles" Head.   GYRE WOLF is available both 4" and 6", and all proceeds for both figures will go to Gary's family.

• ROBOSKULL Vinyl Record featuring WORDBURGLAR & COSMIC ORPHAN - Yep, we're doing that!  We love collaborating, we love this music, and we've got the artist who painted our favorite album covers (including KISS Destroyer) working on our project.  The Cosmos called us on this one and we answered!   And who better to sign on for this project than the one-and-only Wordburglar?  And no, you've not yet heard of Cosmic Orphan, but their track on this is AWESOME.   Don't have a record player?  No worries, you'll also get a digital download of both tracks AND still be able to enjoy the art!

BackerKit Smoke Test, Tonight!

Dear Roboskullers,

Our BackerKit Event is nearly here-  in fact, 5% of you will receive your BackerKit survey tonight!  Why only 5%?  This a required BackerKit test of our Pledge Manager set up, called a "Smoke Test".   So if you receive your BackerKit survey email tonight, please respond to it as soon as possible.  And remember, you can change your response selections later, so no pressure!  Trying it out and providing any feedback (in case something seems unclear, confusing, or just plain wrong) will help us move more quickly to the full BackerKit launch, which should happen within a couple days of tonight's Smoke Test.

WELCOME TO 2022

It's 2022.  The Future is Now.

Happy New Year, Roboskullers!

It's already January, 2022!  Just a month-and-a-half ago, the ROBOSKULL® MKII Kickstarter concluded and the holiday season began.  We had a wonderful holiday and hope you all did, too.  We've been relaxing with our families, just a bit, while working away on your Red Shadows!  And if you're following us on social media, you saw that after successfully completing its first UK mission,  the ROBOSKULL MKII prototype has now flown to a Secret Base in Ireland!

We're getting set for our upcoming BackerKit Event, planned for later this month!  As we've said previously, this BackerKit Event is for our Kickstarter backers AND those who missed out on the Kickstarter.  So, how exactly is that going to work? 

Later this month, YOU, as a premier ROBOSKULL MKII Kickstarter backer, will receive an email with a link that takes you to our BackerKit Pledge Manager.  In the Pledge Manager, you'll be able to firm up your Kickstarter selections (if needed, depending on your pledge level), confirm or modify your shipping address, and ADD additional items, if desired.  Jungle Wolf Troopers, anyone?

For those who missed out on all the awesome that was our Kickstarter, there will also be a BackerKit Pre-order Website.  This is a different page that won't manage your pledge, and we'll be rolling out this pre-order site shortly after we've successfully flown our Kickstarter backers into the Pledge Manager.  

"OK, cool.  So when?"

Our plan it to open the BackerKit towards the end of this month.  Later in January gives us just a little more time to get things set and to get just a little further along in the overall project.    And you won't miss a thing!
